Betsy, you're wrong on that count. It is hard to offend people here at the DB unless you're a rabid religious fundamentalist.

If Condit killed Levy -- and there is not any solid circumstantial evidence -- then he did a good job; there is no body. He claims to have a passed a privately administered polygraph test, yet he will not go anywhere near a police polygraph. I heard a polygraph expert say that many guilty people do a private test in secret to see if they can get past a police test. If he did indeed pass, then what does he have to fear? Essentially, a ploygraph test is an interrogation, and he does not want to be interrogated while hooked to a polygraph. People too easily dismiss polygraphs when in fact those machines -- especially the new digital models -- are goddamned good. Very few people can lie to a ploygraph successfully. Some criminal sociopaths and people with multiple personality disorders can, but not very many other people except trained spies perhaps.

I don't know if Condit killed her. If he didn't, then he is one unlucky bastard who is sweating this problem. If he did, then he is a sociopath with no conscience.

Conversely, Levy is in hiding making Condit sweat. She will re-emerge and do a Monica for quick fame. Who knows? The longer she stays gone though, the chances are that she has been dead since the day she disappeard. Condit knows people -- bikers and S&M types -- who would do the deed.

If I had to bet, I would say he had her killed because she was pregnant by him and he had whomever kill her dipose of Levy's body in such a way that it will never be found.
