It looks like Chinese whisperers have been at work.

Here's the facts.
The SABT were contacted on behalf of a few concerned new puppy owners about the long standing threat of "disciplinary action" if they engaged in any form of "attack training" with their dogs. The SABT board reviewed this and removed it. That's all. They don't encourage or condone "attack work" (their words, not mine) but they no longer condemn it either.
Within days of this change being announced, EBBASA revealed their plans to form a group for those interested in working and possibly testing their dogs and asked for input from ANY interested party in order to form their group on the right lines, for the right reasons and with the right goals.

Why is this so bad?
As I see it they (the associations) were previously misguided, possibly misled and wrong and now they are attempting I hope, to put things right.

I think Dapo summed up things nicely in his post and I can't do better than that.

Damned if they don't, damned if they do?

Jenny
