Mine have killed quite a few too on my property, but I usually don't have my camera out. Most of the coons come out at night, and either get up on the porch or barn to try to rip into the horse feed bags. Since I was walking through the woods, I just happened to have my camera since I usually take it with me when I hike. This was my first ever opportunity to videotape one of their encounters with wildlife.

Trust me, I worry about rabies. Most of our coons around here are also rabid. Both dogs have their rabies shots, but the pup is due for his booster. Neither dog was scratched though.

Jack Russells are tough, scrappy dogs. A lot of people around here have them, since I live in the middle of foxhunt country where they are very popular with the horse set.
