andy...despite the fact that you are the man, and can eat enough breadsticks to kill a horse in one sitting, your knowledge of the lethal injection process is sub-par and makes it clear that you haven't done your homework. The lethal injections take about 7 minutes to actually kill a person. A corrosive acid flows through the vains and pancuronium bromide causes the lungs and diaphragm to collapse while the patient is still alive. Sodium thiopental is used to paralyze the patient but not to stop them from feeling pain, only to make them unable to react. This might account for the appearance of a quick painless death. Hollywood isnt always going to give you an accurate portayal of an act as depraved and blatantly wrong as the taking of a life by lethal injection, so go to your local library and check out a book that isnt about making catapults for once. I feel that abortion is ok as a last resort, as long as the fetus is undeveloped, and I feel that capital punishment is wrong, no matter how painless. I know you may find my views strange but thats where i stand.
