That's funny Chubs, I've spent some time trying to explain the already added in thing myself.

I am elated with the point change. I love meaningful championships. In my opinion March Madness and the NFL playoffs are the coolest sporting events around. A playoff can even make the NBA interesting. Rewarding consistency, while necessary, is boring. I think Nascar did a fine job of keeping consistency a significant consideration, but not necessarily the ultimate goal.

Speaking of necessary, how about that new JZ and Pherrel song "sexy, sexy"?

As far as our league goes I don't think anything should change point wise. The only change I would make is 3 seasons versus 2, so losers like myself wouldn't have to wait so long before hope is renewed. However, I don't even feel strongly enough about this, considering the collection problems it presents, to officially gripe. I would just like it better that way.

I think Nascar should have given the winner a bigger bonus than 5 points per race, but applaud them for at least making an effort to make winning more important. It is also my understanding that money wise at the end of the year places 2 through 10 will all receive the same money, 1 million, while the winner gets 5 million. Now that rocks. They will be killing each other for the championship. I also like them giving the point leader 5 more points than second place and so on to start the championship round. Kind of like home field advantage in the playoffs.

If that six pointer would shave the top two points that might be the world's greatest donegal. However, he would never make it to the contest because you have to be clean shaven on January first.

By the way Slap, even if you really didn't think the beard thing was funny, I appreciate you throwing me a bone of appreciation.

I've got to quit, this post is reaching Simmons proportions.
