 Alexis stood shell shocked for a moment and then her temper flared to life. "THAT IS IT!! THAT IS THE LAST STRAW!!" she screamed as she darted off through the forest.

Monet appeared next to Rio and Gwen as they sat watching Gwen's young man. His great golden gaze glowed softly in the pale moon light. But for the strange smile and the poliet nod, he offered no other greating to the two female lirs.

A brief minute later Alexis appeared in the clearing with Jeff, and before he even became aware of her she hit him full on in the chest and sent him tumbling back into the soft earth. "How dare you? How dare you speak to me in such a way?"

She circled him as he watched her warily. "I am NOT a demon!! True I am certainly nothing like YOU, but I am not a demon!!"

Her eyes narrowed as Jeff regained his feet, and from the look on his face he was prepairing to let off anouther stream of his curses, but she cut him off with a smart smack to his forhead with the palm of her hand. "Think, Jeffery Gage Ryan!! Do I LOOK to you like the sort of girl who goes traipsing though the forest? Well do I?"

Before he could answer she swatted his forhead yet again with the palm of her hand. "NO! I am not!! I am many things... I am a spoiled, gently reared, little sissy of a girl, but I am NOT a demon!!"

She circled him and gave him a swat to the back of his head. "You're right! Our thoughts on friendship ARE far different. You think anyone who will smile kindly on you and ALLOW you to play with them when they think to invite you is your friend!"

She paced around to stand in front of him. Her crystal eyes alive with anger. "Where as I think a friend is someone who, in spite of her own fear of things that go bump in the night, leaves the safty of her home and follows her friend on his journay to find out who he is!!"

She finally sighed. Her energy spent for the moment. "And believe me when I tell you Jeff... You have NO idea WHO you REALLY are. You silly stubborn boy."

Monet looked to Gwen and Rio and smiled. ::My sweet 'Lexis has a flare for dramatics.:: He winked at Gwen. ::And quite a temper too. I knew I could not stop her. Best to let her say her peace and hope your boy understands.::

Rio rolled her eyes. ::I just thank our creator that Gabriel is no longer a stubborn willful teenager.:: Then she laughed softly. ::I take that back. 'Riel is a stubborn willful MAN, and they are perhaps worse.::
