Now I'm confused! ;) Does the Rt Rev like is leather in black or burgandy? My guess is, since he's one of those prissy preachers, he has a frilly fringed fabric cover on his Dake.

Youse mentioned the Arminian slant to the message. I've often thought the Rt Rev was trying to play the Calvinist role, at times. Of course, both these great preachers and teachers of the Bible had their good and bad points. They were both great men with some real screwballs as followers. I was always taught to be right in the middle of these "5" point systems. To take the best of both and reject the rest. If you limit the truth in the Word with a 5 point system, you may be missing the real point and objective of the message.

People like Spurgeon, Matthew Henry, etc., were great teachers and commentators. In present time, I really enjoy J. Vernon McGhee and the Thru The Bible series. McGhee was a REAL Presbyterian preacher. I remember a program he did, they don't play much anymore. He preached on the 501 c 3 registered church. Have only heard that message once on air. My guess is, it offended the corporate, 501 c 3 church of today and they threatened to not send offerings to support the program.

Thou Shalt NOT offend the Corporate Church in AmeriKa today.
