Subject: why I see pentecostalism as a great fraud and cult

Perhaps the “classic” email of all times and by far my favorite is the one I titled “I am smarter than you!” It always begins with something like “Blessed areth thou that I have lower myself to correct your . . . censored ............censored.”

They are always entitled something like “a consecrated extortion from the desk of the most wholly anointed and inspired DOCTOR Schmuck-a-dilly.” This is to inform you just how stupid, brainless and misguided you are, because I said so. I have a vast, limitless and unmeasurable knowledge of the Bible and a direct unabridged line to the Wholly Ghost!

So tell me DOC, you don’t mind me calling you DOC do you DOC? Any simpleton can understand how a peabrained, pinheaded, ignoramus like myself can fall hook, line and sinker for a sob story, but how did someone with your colossal wisdom fall for the oldest con - act in town?

I love it when folks tell me “I have to believe them because they said so!!” Please put your great and depth less knowledge to work. Please provide book, chapter and verse to support your theorem If it is in the Bible, I will agree fully with you. If not, I will continue to agree fully with God as I always have. I am not ashamed of the Holy Inspired Inerrant Word of God for the Ages, are you?

I also want to point out another major problem with pentecostalism. People who proclaim themselves to be pentecostalism’s finest keep telling me they are “anointed” and “Inspired by the Holy Ghost.” I remember giving $5.00 for my leather bounded copy of Dake’s Annotated Bible. A Christian book store was trying to get rid of dusty merchandise at the local flea market.

In a note written by Finis Jennings Dake, he proclaimed all his notes to be “inspired.” He made two statements I found quiet telling. First he said he went to school for one year, then figured out he knew more than his teachers and quit going.

His first note displays his “inspired” writings. In Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 note, he explains that there are millions perhaps billions of years between Genesis chapter 1 verse 1 and Genesis chapter 1 and verse 2. That theorem is known as the “gap” theory.

The “gap” theory was introduced to align the Biblical age of the earth with the geological age. Unfortunately, the geologists that the theory was advanced to appease, immediately found too many major faults with the theory. There is not one shred of geological evidence to support Mr. Dake’s “inspired” note.

Not to mention the many Biblical problems with the theory. Mr. Dake has God standing on millions perhaps billions of years of death and destruction and declaring it is good (Genesis 1:4 KJV). The Bible tells us death entered the world with Adam (Romans 5:12 KJV), not some pre-Adamic race.

Dr. Frederic K.C. Price spend three years teaching us about racism in pentecostal denominations. One of his loudest denouncements was the racial slurs in Dake’s Bible. Dr. Price, quiet correctly I might add, demanded a recall of all Dake’s Annotated Bibles. However, the Dake family could not find any fault with Mr. Dake’s wording. They did agree to allow Dr. Leon Bible to rewrite the “inspired” notes of Mr. Dake’s to remove any possible confusion.

The great Benny Hinn preached a sermon one morning on the nine part trinity. Off the subject? , No just hang on. When Mr. Hinn was asked to explain his nine part trinity(trinity means three), he said it was a joke he was telling his church. His congregation was swooning at his feet, slain in the spirit? To a joke? And people wonder why I see pentecostalism as a great fraud.

The connection? Mr. Hinn when pressed admitted the nine part trinity was from Dake’s Annotated Bible. So how do I know when someone is “inspired” or “anointed?” I read the word of God.

I have presented many Holy Ghost inspired teaching and preaching. The difference? The message is inspired, not the messenger. An example, I was walking across a cemetery one morning when I noticed a granite Bible on the top of a rather tall tombstone. As I touched that stone Bible with my fingers, God placed the beautiful hymn “How firm a foundation, ye saints of the Lord’s, is laid for your faith in His excellent word!” (1 Peter 1:23 KJV) on my lips.

My friend, God’s Holy Inspired Inerrant Word for the Ages is just as solid as that granite stone Bible, and just as unchanging. When someone claims to be “inspired” and/or “anointed” compare carefully what they say to scripture. Someone once quipped “that if a thing is old, . . . the quality is good” Don’t fall for modern scholarship.

I received an email from a wonderfully deceived person one time, suggesting that I not "throw the baby out with the bath water." Being the consummate man of God that I am, I carried the possibility to God. God answered in a direct quote from the great theologian, R. A. Torrey. "(pentecostalism was) founded by a homosexual, and is emphatically not of God."

Now the real question has to be "do you believe the Bible and God or do you beleive your denominational psuedology?" As for me and my household, God is the only rationale answer to that question and has been my exclusive answer for over forty years. I refuse to accept any denominational teaching. I beleive the Bible to be God's Holy, Inspired, Inerrant, Word for the Ages, and yes my good friend, God's Word is also never vacillating.

The second opinion expressed in email has been "I know baptist / methodist / roman preachers who........" My mother taught me "two wrongs a right do not make." Bill Clinton and his folks wanted us to beleive he had done nothing any worst than everyone else does. God said "be ye holy as I am Holy!" (Leviticus 20:7 : 1 Peter 1:15,16 KJV)

Instead of making excuses for your sooth sayers, try their spirit to see from whence it comes and whence it goest (1 John 4:1 KJV). The Bible, God's Word is quiet unerring on the subject, "Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit." (Matthew 7:17 KJV) and again "A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." (Matthew 7:18 KJV)

Finis Jennings Dake comes to mind first. Not only for his moral damnations (taking an underage girl across state lines for immortal purposes, to quote him "for petting parties.") but more importantly his spiritual damnations (the gap theory, nine part trinity, physical healing as part of salvation). This ministry will remain dedicated to exposing the heresies of pentecostalism from scripture and with scripture.

I personally and from the Bible can tell you there is no conceivable manner by which one could potentially "throw out the baby with the bath water" in reference to anything, or anyone caught up in the cult of pentecostalism.

Most important of all is not what I say, but what God has said. God has unambiguously stated that a good tree or true vine cannot bare evil fruit. Your mortal life is a faithful reflection of your inward life. Again God said " Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.(Matthew 15:11 KJV).

While these opinions appear ominous, the most recurrent theme has been "praise God, I have come out from among them!" Praise God for every single one who sees the light provided by God above. What a great God, we do serve.

When God turns the light on, you can not possibly stand still. God is truly the only one who can turn that light on, not your denominational preacher or his/their doctrinal stance. Jesus told Peter, "Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 16:17 KJV) God will and does continuiously reveal himself to us.

I must take a moment and point out the old heresy of "praying through" is dead false. God has answered our prayers before the foundation of the earth. It is not a question of getting God's attention to hear our partition but rather our listening to hear God's answer and not demanding our answer.

Hundreds have expressed their thanks and praise to God for leading them out of the cult of pentecostalism, and I am positive many hundreds more will if Jesus tarries but a little while longer.

No my good friend, this ministry does not claim to have shown or in any way been instrumental in revealing God's true nature to any man. God alone is responsible for leading hundreds from the cult of pentecostalism. "So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase." (1 Corinthians 3:7 KJV)

Those who have come out of the cult of pentecostalism can stand as Moses and the children of Isreal stood on the shore of the Red Sea and declare "Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?" (Exodus 15:11 KJV)

What great wonders God has truly worked in the life of those He has revealed Himself to. He has given them the power to become sons of God(John 1:12 KJV). Them he has justified(Romans 3:24 KJV) and sanctified(1 Corinthians 6:11 KJV) and sealed with the Holy Ghost(Ephesians 1:13 KJV).

Yes the God I serve is truly awesome and wonderful beyond words.
