That old warrior for the faith C.H. Spurgeon said to his preacher friends, "Sell your shirt (if necessary) and buy books." He was a tremendously diligent student and had a vast library. Sound literature is worth its weight in gold, and it is worth even more than that! The faithful old Apostle, at Rome in prison awaiting his martyrdom, said to preacher Timothy, "when thou comest, bring ... the books" (2 Tim. 4:13). Amen!
