In addition to her not knowing 1 John for and testing the spirits, she is also clueless here, in this posting:

Too many people think only of His death and ignore the resurrection which IMHO was an event equal to His death for our sin. I don't think they are equal events. The resurrection was much more significant and the reason we don't have to live day to day full of doom and gloom...BECAUSE HE LIVES, I CAN FACE TOMORROW...I'm sure you've sung that old hymn many times...smile!

Matt 6:31-34
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
(KJV)

The word "first" indicates our first concern is the "kingdom of G_d." This is the 5th example in Y'shua's preaching in His Sermon on the Mount. "First" also indicates there is a second, and so on. We are to continually be about the business of seeking holiness in righteousness. True Christians will never be satisfied or falsely content with what he has in Mechiach, but is continually seeking to know Him better.

When our priority is spiritual, G_d will take care of the material, for where G_d guides, He provides. We are not to even worry about tomorrow. No where in Scripture does it guarantee we will see tomorrow. Thus, "sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." This means that each day has its own troubles and challenges to be responsibly handled, without worry about the hypothetical problems which could arise tomorrow. God is ever pictured in Scripture as the G_d of the present.

2 Cor 6:2
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
(KJV)
