"I just peeked in over at the Christian Theology room where Sola and gang hang out to see what they're up to and came across a few posts to you. Sola very kindly answered your question there, and it seems you had already found it from your pastor. I cut and pasted it anyway:
In regard to the name YHWH, commonly referred to as the Tetragrammation, the translators adopted the devise used in MOST ENGLISH VERSIONS of rendering that name as �LORD� in capital letters to distinguish it from Adonai, another Hebrew word rendered �Lord,� for which small letters are used. Where ever the two names stand together in the Old Testament as a compound of the name God, they are rendered as �Sovereign Lord.�
Do you even read over there? I guess they assume all of us are hanging on to their every word. I can honestly say that is the first time I've looked in since the last time Sola contacted me behind the scenes. I must say I find very little reason to go there. "
