”True, Biblical Avoidance is still "Christian Activism." Y'shua taught His talmidim; His disciples the results of their "Activism." It was taught in many places but John 15 and 16 comes to mind. Y'shua didn't call His disciples servants, but friends. He made known the truth to His own out of friendship, not because they were servants. most people "serve" their employer because of their paycheck. They may or may not be friends with their employer. I spoke, and continue to speak the truth about my former employer, not because of the cost or what it personally cost me, but because the truth is what it is.”

A servant is not above his master. It is not our place, nor is it Biblical to make a mission out of telling our employers what we think of them. It is a mark of maturity and service as unto God to be worthy of our pay, hold our peace and pride, and ride the bumps.

Colossians 3
21Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
22Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. 23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

1 Timothy 6
1All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God's name and our teaching may not be slandered. 2Those who have believing masters are not to show less respect for them because they are brothers. Instead, they are to serve them even better, because those who benefit from their service are believers, and dear to them. These are the things you are to teach and urge on them.

Ephesians 6
5Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart.

“I doubt yule find Dave Hunt giving up all he has for preaching against bad government. I can only imagine Hunt would cry like a baby if the goobermint took his 501 c 3 away from him.”

Dave Hunt is a modest man, that is an unfair slam. Dave Hunt’s ministry is not one of “Activism” nor does it purport to be. He in fact eschews the practice of “Activism” as unbiblical. As do I. Acting in the capacity of a private citizen/organization, not a church, there is a distinction, he entitled to use the tax code in a manner that benefits his organization. You forget, “It’s NOT THE GOVERNMENT’s MONEY!” He is exercising his rights as a tax payer in this Country to avail himself of the legal tax provisions provided by a 501 c 3. I as a contributor benefit at well; just as I would benefit from tithing 10% to a NON-501 c 3 CHURCH! To those who would pick his bones in an open field like an Hieronymus Bosch painting for using the legal tax code to his advantage, remember he is a retired CPA, I say there are larger issues in Christendom that are being ignored for the sake of tertiary issues.

Like Jesus’ example of bringing His message to the sinners and tax collectors, I am certain that Hunt has prayerfully considered all invitations to speak prior to accepting them; including Calvary Chapel. Chuck Smith is a tremendous man of God whether we agree with him on secondary issues, or not. But ignoring Hunt’s record of what he has said, written and taught on the topic of ecumenism/Promise Keepers and compromises in the Church for 20 years or any attempts to align Hunt or his ministry, in any way with ecumenical/neo-evangelical groups is dishonest. To fault a doctrinally sound man personally for bringing his message to “non-approved” Christians says more to me about his accusers than it does about Dave Hunt. I have read some of the critical comments about him and his accusers have no facts, and appear to be jealous men in minor ministries that use the same scriptural gymnastics, dishonest ad hominum attack strategies as the Jack Howell-types.

“Those real hero's of the faith today, those preaching out against bad government don't have to hid in caves.”

I’m not into heroes and I certainly do not abode in a cave….OR a “trailer” as Kear suggests. LOL! Those doing the will of Christ are preaching the Gospel to the lost, and exposing false teachers, heresies, and testing the spirits. There are no examples of Paul or Christ ever commanding us that we are commissioned to preach against the government. None. Sorry.
