It was NOT the GOVERNMENT that was persecuting Paul and the Apostles � IT WAS THE JEWS! I�m sorry you have gotten so flakily lately Tamarisk. You are truly one clarinet shy of a Klesmer band, Boopie. Your theology is completely FARCHADAT. Man-O- Manischewitz! What a crazy!

Paul was put into prison because he opposed the Pharisees! THEY WERE NOT THE GOVERNMENT! You are a bupkes brain!

At that time the battle was a Jewish religious problem because some of the Jews broke from their traditional religion and followed Christ Jesus. It had nothing to do with the ROMAN government! Even when Pilate crucified Christ Jesus, he didn�t want to do it. It was due to the pressure put on him by the Jews who claimed Jesus was committing blaspheme.

Besides SOME of the letters from Paul, most of the NT was NOT written from prison! Again, Paul opposed the JEWS - - - NOT the Roman Government in the literal meaning.
