 "Foul magics?" Marcius gives off a dry laugh. "No...all magics. I can summon angels just as well as demons. I can heal just as I can harm. I can revive, just as I kill! Just because I do what is most efficent means nothing, except I do what must be done." He gives Lans his darkest smile.

"You truly think one king can rule better than seven? The Empire is too vast for one man! And no one is equal...unless they earn it. People can not be given everything and then except to be citizens. They must earn it. Then they will appreciate it, respect it. I may have been trained far better than most people....but I paid the price in blood. I paid the price many times over. My equipment is no different than other commando's!"

He forces himself up to his feet and squares his shoulders. "I am a soldier of the Empire, a son of the Empire, and a leader of the Empire. I take pride in my land, my kingdom, and my heritage! You have turned your back on it all with your insurrection! If I do not kill you, than someone else shall. Your rebellion for fall, just as others like it before. The Empire has stood for over 5,000 years for a reason! IT SHALL NOT FALL NOW! We are the righteous! The just!" Then he frowns, a bit of the weariness--the weariness of raw physical exgauhstion as well as the weariness of killing--entering his voice and eyes. "And we take no pride in killing our fellow country men."
