TB is older (the first volume was published in 1991, whereas the first volume of YnM was published in 1997), but that doesn't necessarly mean that Matsushita Youko ripped off CLAMP. There's so much manga out there that similarites are unavoidable. Take "XXXholic" and Akino Matsuri's "Petshop of Horrors", for instance. They share a very similar background plot, yet from what I know of CLAMP via interviews and such, I highly doubt they ripped off Akino's work, or even had it in mind when coming up with the story (especially considering that PoH is an older title; even if it was popular a few years ago, chances are it doesn't have much influence now, considering the sheer size of the market).

I don't see enough similarities between TB and YnM for one to make the absolute statement that Matsushita ripped-off CLAMP. Considering that manga is $14.4 billion market with an average of 3,000 professional mangaka at any given time (stats compliments "A History of Manga" ^^), chances are tre slim.

Unless someone sees glaring connections that I am somehow missing. ^^;;
