 I called my daughters counslor the other day....you are not going to believe what she said. She told me that my daughter was just a baby (she's 21 yrs old) and that she needed her mom to get better.....she also said that my daughter needed her daughter back and didn't understand why we weren't going to give her 4 almost 5 year old back, the little girl that we have had since she was just a little over one year old and that had come to know us as mom and dad and that has lived with us since she was about 6 months old. I was so mad at this counslor that I hung up on her. First of all she doesn't know the facts and she is going off my daughters word about what happened, second of all she didn't have any right to say anything about giving her daughter back that we adopted 8 months ago because our daughter refused to get clean and get a job so she could take care of her. I understand that some people have no problem with trading kids like they were some kind of possesion but I do. I hope I don't step on any toes but I just feel that every child deserves to have a stable home and that after 2 years if the parents can't get things together enough to take care of the child then that child deserves to be adopted by someone that will. I am just so mad at this counsler, never send any one that you love to the Light House in Woodward OK. Sorry but after this woman told me #1 that my daughter was just a baby that need her mother and I was not being a mother to her because I refuse to be humiliated and put down by her and that #2 I needed to give her daughter back to her even though she had her in a meth lab and did meth around her and her past mistakes didn't count because after 30 days she was all better, I am just so angry that I can't see straight so that is why I am asking for help. I wrote my daughter a letter and I want to write one to this counslors boss but I would like to be able to add some facts. I am going to send the counslor's boss a copy of "Things to not do" but would like to have some more facts of things to do and not to do when it comes to dealing with a meth addict. If anyone could help me out I would really appriciate it. I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense but I am just so mad. My daughter went there to get help and now all she is getting is pity and that is the last thing she needs. I told the counsler that she needed to grow up and that she wouldn't until everyone quit feeling sorry for her.
