Velvet auds rested back, listening to the sad tale, and absorbing the information. He, too, had his own troubled past. But never had he refused to be in sunlight, nor had he been unable to.
Blunt claws tested the earth, and he rolled his shoulders back. Finely-tuned muscles rippled benieth his silky pelt, disiplined from years of fighting experiance. His ice-blue orbs shifted up to the trees, for he had known Graz was probably there.
Like most Balkar, he enjoyed the night, but he knew of the day's works. At last, he nods and speaks.

"I understand. Yet there is beauty in the daylight. Not everything is blood and death, though that is what we live by," he says, meeting Letha's eyes. A soft smile plays across his handsome face.

"Sometimes the sun shows us things that are hidden in the night. It lets us see things clearly. But alas, we are demons of the underworld. The Night is our home. And we can afford nothing more."

He stretches out his front legs, giving a wide, lazy yawn. His thick winter coat bristles, and he rises to his full height once more. The attention of his own eyes drift, much as Letha's had done. Thoughts and memories crept through his mind, and his expression became somewhat sad. He shook it off and offered Letha a slight smile.
