Well done Borad of Management - insisting there will be 6 teams and not listening to the fears of clubs at the 'emergency meeting'. Whilst there are some people out there backing the bulls, they have done nothing but lie about the fact that the Harp would not be effected, and acted selfishly. How can the BOM not take any action now that tis guarantee has been broken?
BTW - Avondale can ony expect the league to put up brickwalls after the way they have simply bought the comp in recent years. There was no long term commitmnet to anything like juniors etc, only token efforts to get into the comp and they go nuts with the $$$ - then what happens when Duggo has had enough and stops ouring in the big $$ - gone! That is why they are a pub team and always will be .
The decision was voted upon by all members of the competition committee ( all clubs). There is no point admitting new clubs for the sake of it without planning, as junior numbers cannot sustain it, and when the player market inflates, and clubs like Thirroul, Burgh Uni, Wollongong and Berkeley struggle to t=retain players, then someone falls over - why should Avondale have the right to do this?
