Almond Yes please resist making the weather joke! LOL Funnily enough now everyone is blaming me for them getting sick! LOL I am the worlds scapegoat. LOL

Lionhunter Sorry I am just not a shake girl. LOL Oh I had my first Frappacino (sp?) this visit, it was ok but not something I could drink a lot of.

Rack Hmm I could be in NYC around that time! LOL Do you know where abouts on 42nd it is?? If I remember correctly that is close to Times Sq, watch out it is really busy around there. Ok things to do in NYC.

1.) The Empire States Building is a must, last October we went up there on a fairly clear day at sunset and the view was awesome!!
2.) A Rangers game at Madison Square Garden (if you are a sports fan). The atmosphere is great and the punch ups on the ice are a lot of fun! LOL
3.) The circle line tour. It is a boat trip that goes around the Island of Manhattan.
4.) A broadway show. I went to see "Rent" in October and it was great. The tickets are reasonably priced if you get them from the TKTS Kiosk (something like that) in Times Sq. You can only get tickets for that days showings and you can never be sure if you will able to get a ticket for the particular show you want. You have to queue up in the morning for matinees and in the afternoon for evening showings but it is worth it and the earlier you get there the better, the line can get LONG!
5.) An NYCB meeting. It is a gang of Bronzers from the NYC area who meet up now and then. Spam Mazzy about it if you are interested. They are an awesome group of people and they are a hoot to hang out with. (you will know some of them from the UPN bronze days)
6.) If you are into Military stuff then there is an aircraft carrier open to visitors (it is next to the Circle line dock).
7.) If you are into Museums there are lots to choose from! I am not an expert on these I have been to the Metropolitan (which has cool armour and lots of Art, part of the Museum was used in the film "Maid in Manhattan"), Museum of Modern Art (has All sorts from Andy Warholl to Van Gogh to Photographs), Natural history museum. I am sure there are lots more to choose from.
8.) Take a ride in a NY cab. If you happen to get in Dogmeats cab you will be in for the ride of your life! LOL

Things not to do in NYC!

1.) Don't buy hot dogs etc from street vendors. I have been told they are notorious for food poisoning!
2.) If the temp is below freezing, don't leave batteries in your bag. They will freeze and not work again! Believe me I speak from experience! LOL
3.) Cross the road without carefully looking first! Even if the little man is green at pedsetrian crossing doesn't mean a car won't becoming around the corner at you! Again I speak from experience. Many curse words came out of my mouth while crossing the road with Mazzy and a car came around aiming right at us!
4.) Expect NYC to be cheap! The prices in NYC are pretty similar to UK prices, things will be slightly cheaper but not much. The further out of the tourist areas the cheaper it gets, although food is pretty reasonably priced in most places.

If I think of anything else I will let you know, any questions spam away!
