The MIT Open was scrutineered by members of the MIT team, had over 650 competitors dancing 6 levels in 19 dances over 2 days, attracted couples ranked in the US Amateur top 10, was scrutineered on open-source software and required a grand total of zero social dances to let the scrutineers catch up. The software is called Chester, and it's in Rachelle's MIT Open Review. It's free, as long as we play by the various coding rules, and is currently being ported to Java. It even gives you the results printed out instantly. Results for the first day were posted 3am that night - that's before Cambridge get home from some comps.
