And the results from those schools for the GBS were probably the most fair. If you didn’t watch the comps be careful speaking out of turn against hard working dancers.
Do you really think it’s only 12? Whether in texts or just looking out for friends there are conflicts of interest everywhere. But those really can’t be solved as this is a very small community and people have relationships going back years and sometimes even generations. In an ideal world you’d not have teachers also be adjudicators but there aren’t enough to go around. You’d not have judges that are parents also judging. It’s impossible to be completely objective. This unethical behavior seems to be on a spectrum from unspoken favors to texting asking not to miss dancers to actual intentional tanking or money exchanged. But In the end if you look at who is on top 5-10. The order may be not what you think but the good dancers usually rise to the top
