There are multiple ways to interpret any experience. I appreciate that this is yours. It isn’t everyone’s. We haven’t had a perfect experience with Irish dance in many ways. But my daughter learned that sometimes, SOMETIMES, you CAN win against cheaters. It takes preparation, perseverance and the willingness to accept that it might not happen at all. If you’re only dancing to compete or dancing for a placement, then you may need to reconsider the sport anyway. Lots of artists make art, not to be hung at the Louvre, but because they enjoy the process and sometimes, the product. That’s what dancing should be.
