Subject: That’s like telling a cult leader or a con artist to just give up

She gets us to have 4K dollar solo dresses made for 8 year olds to keep us dialed in, convinces our parents to fly oversees for international competitions for these little dancers, then they place terribly and then she makes the results sound great to the rest of the school, with “round or feis” awards associated with the comp…because you know before this 6 mo ban became 3 mo that would keep us locked in until it was too late to change in time for the next major. Favoritism for certain dancers and parents even though we all pay the same amount and do all the things expected. 3 mandatory comps a season, monthly workshops where she talks the whole time instead of teaching, and for what? And let’s not forget talks trash about dancers and parents to each other. And how many emails have gotten with bad news that are dressed up as vague exciting things to come? Disgusting. I can’t believe we stayed this long. We all think if only there were somewhere else to go. Sadly we stay because our kids just want to dance. The worst part is I know the disfuction we are a part of and just hanging on until something better comes along nearby or she does the right thing and sells to a better school. Time for change. Praying she does the right thing for once.
