(sorry Cathy) IMO good parents are TOGETHER & THERE FOR THEIR CHILD(ren)! Yes, good parents CAN be divorced & caring for their children separately, but come on, most don't!

So many people get married b/c they are "in love" but love isn't all that exists in a marriage or any committed relationship. Why all the divorces? "I don't love him anymore" ... DF & I have always said we would get counseling, if needed, to work through problems, but a hell of a lot of people don't do that; they just get divorced.

Please keep in mind I am generalizing ... every marriage/divorce/relationship is different & I am only basing MY FEELINGS on people I have known & things I've read. My parents divorced when I was 2, mom remarried at 3. WE GOT LUCKY ... my stepfather IS my father. I told my biological dad to stay out of our lives once Corben was born. But as a youngster, I had to go w/my bio dad when he paid his child support, but I never wanted to!
