IMO good parents are TOGETHER & THERE
>FOR THEIR CHILD(ren)! Yes, good parents CAN be
>divorced & caring for their children separately, but
>come on, most don't!

Excuse me, I don't think that good parents are solely based on whether the parents are together. My parents were miserable when they were together and they made my life hell because I had to sit and listen to them argue. I had to sit and watch them be MISERABLE with each other. That's not a way to live!

If the parents can give a loving caring home separated, sometimes that is for the best. Yes the ideal home for all of our children is to have both parents be loving and happy and together. But I doubt that everyone on the boards I visit have the perfect home.

I don't think I'm any less of a mother because I am not with my sons' father. I'm actually a better mother for it.

Will my sons have issues when they grow up? probably, but in todays society I'm sure all of our children will have their own issues regardless of what type of background they come from.

To generalize and say that you can't be a good parent because we are not raising the children under the same roof is just wrong.
