Karen,

YES YES YES, steroid withdrawals DEFINITELY include nausea. You may want to talk to your doc about an anti-emetic that has no loopy CNS side effects, like zofran (which can be pricey, but insurance usually covers at least some of it). It works like a charm for me...I take 4 mg by mouth when needed...I have heard that it even comes in sub-lingual form (dissolves under the tongue). I try to take it easy on my tummy while I am dealing with the withdrawals...WHITE breads, WHITE rice, LOW fat/LOW fiber...NO SALADS...that kind of thing (but my tummy is messed up anyway). Steroids can cause ulcers..so you may want to have that checked out as well. If it is just withdrawals, symptoms could last for a few weeks after each drop, depending on how big the drop. The smaller the drop, the less time for side effects (usually). Everyone is different in there reactions...just remember to stay hydrated (I know how hard that is when you just want to vomit).

Hope you feel better soon!!

Ivy
