| [> Subject: Please let the girls do this and let's not get the adult EDs involved. Please be humble and just let the girls take over this board with their joy and kindness. Remember, it's about them and not the old EDs. | |

| [> [> Subject: Wow, interesting. So the love only applies to the class of 2013 contestants. Not all the "old volunteers". I would be so sad if I thought all the contestants felt this way. I realize you are all young, fresh and just starting your lives. But we volunteers love you, and most of us show that every day, and every time we spend our money, vacations and emotional energy trying to help you. It would be nice not to be insulted by you. | |

Date Posted: 15:52:58 02/06/14 Thu Why would the above poster assume "some old person needs validation" hold the sass!! and what an unkind thing to say about who you're assuming is a VOLUNTEER, the people responsible for making up the MCO! We actually already discussed acknowledging volunteers! Kara Smoot brought it up immediately after we talked about our 60 days of love and we plan on giving everyone their own special day . [> [> Subject: I want to acknowledge Mary McCaman. She has been a true godsend to this organization. Her closet has helped so many girls and I am so happy she will be taking over as the wardrobe person for the new Miss California! I just cannot understand why so many people dislike her. I think she is just awesome and has a big heart.

| [> Subject: The Miss CA Contestants' plan is to spend the remainder of the 60 days to talk about one girl each day. Volunteers are welcome to share their kind words for these girls as well. The volunteers are not forgotten when it comes to who we "love." We just decided to focus on the contestants first. We would be happy to extend the 60 days to include volunteers as well, otherwise the nice comments about volunteers will come when they do. But remember, no one should ever expect flattery or praise, let alone ask for it. If you are a volunteer, then you know firsthand how much we love you because we say it to you in person. Please remember that and don't get upset or jealous that we are not including you at the moment. Let's keep the uplifting messages about the girls going. Give them their special day and spread the love! Thank you! | |
