| Subject: I'll agree with you to a point. At the local and state level, where the panel usually is has a majority of veteran pageant judges, I think it's true your placement doesn't matter. Veteran judges know what to look for, they can spot it wherever you are, etc. But this prelim panel is not mostly veterans. For many it was their first time judging and despite what is said in the briefing, I think it's somewhat human nature to hold back scores (even subconsciously) or think a girl is, let's say, an 8 but then start seeing everyone else and realizing maybe she was actually a 9. | |
