I have been silent on this board for a few weeks now but I just HAVE to respond to this asinine post. What contributes to the hostile tone this board takes at times is the fact that it is 99% anonymous. Few people own what they say so they say whatever. I sign my name on posts I make because I decided a long time ago that if I am not willing to own what I say with my name, then I am not willing to say it. Putting my name on my own posts in no way legitimizes ANYTHING that anybody else says. Anybody who thinks it does is a fool. If you will truly "stop at nothing to protect our girls" then do not discourage people from owning their words; stop contributing to the culture of anonymity which encourages hostile sentiments about our girls to be expressed; and own your own words by signing your name to what you say. If you don't respect your own words enough to put your name to them, why should anybody else respect what you have to say? -- Miss California Unofficial Message Board
