In reply to: Tom Moletteire 's message, "For interview, Crystal's placement is ideal. The judges will have just had lunch and will be feeling fresh. But it is not too far after lunch that they will feel like taking a nap. Additionally, they will have had a chance to gel as a panel since they will have completed the Mu group interviews. The order of competition for the Alpha group is similar to the order of competition for Crystal at Miss California. Two of the last 4 Misses America came from Alpha and both were early in the line up. It is a fallacy that going first or toward the beginning hurts a contestant's chances. Winners come from all over the line up yet there appears to be a slight advantage to going early. My guess is that a girl that is toward the beginning is less likely to get trumped by a stronger contestant ahead of her. Alabama had its strongest track record at Miss America when the contestants were presented alphabetically by title to the judges. Wyoming did not fare so well." on 06:17:45 07/23/13 Tue
