] Date Posted: 16:11:33 07/02/13 Tue I wrote below but I wanted to reiterate how refreshing I think Laura is. Here is a young lady who devoted a few years to competing for Miss California. She put her heart and soul into it, and did quite well. When it came down to her Q&A she answered forthrightly, without trying to give a poticially correct responce to appease the judges. I can see why she won the Interview Award. In closing, isn't the Miss America Pageant all about telling the individual contestants to be themselves? With so many pageant contestants falling all over themselves to give an answer that won't alienate a judges final score, she stood out there and gave her honest answer.
