Without warning, the sky above the boat turned blacker than night. Thunder and lightning crackled, only it wasn't natural. It had a cold, eerie, almost evil feel about it. Nightmarish, hellish howls could be heard from above as the black clouds swirled around into one. The center of the clouds opened, and a figure could be seen falling from the center. Howling, screaming creatures rushed out after the figure, but simply evaporated when they touched the light. They were born of the darkness, and needed it to survive. The figure continued to fall, but his decent slowed as he came nearer to the ship. He touched down gently, even as the sky returned to normal. The man was clad in a flowing black robe, and a hood that covered his entire head, he also had a staff in one hand which was topped with a gem. He looked around at the sailors on the ship, gathering around a single man. "Where am I?" he demanded, as he gazed with peircing eyes at the mutaniers. As if to show that he meant business, a bolt of electricity arced from the gem on the staff, to his free hand. "Tell me now."
