Why now? Oie, someone was going to pay for this... Nearly turning a frosty glare down on Alex, an irritated impulse to scorn Alex for his fear, the blonde's lightning reaction to an unfamiliar assault startled the young vampire and he rose to withdraw quickly, one hand falling to Alex's shoulder to still the writhing male. Easy, love. Time to pull the 'knight in shining armor' routine, eh? Bleh. And keep up the quick skills of hastily pulling his pants on. Skills developed as a mortal with a thrillingly dangerous willingness to embrace unfaithful married lovers in their own beds. Served him well then, as now. In his pants in a flash with an echo of resentment for yet another interruption, he was on his way to the front door even as he zipped everything back into place. Whoever it was had been pray to their angels- had the visitor been Girl Scouts bearing cookies, the devil very well might have torn into them in a blind, frusterated rage. Or... more likely... fork over a few dollars to smiling faces for cookies he could not have eaten. Only opening the door would determine the proper reaction and he wrenched it open aggressively, eyes ablaze.
