"Conservatives" are morons. Everyone who identifies themselves willingly as a conservative, should be viewed with the same patience and sympathy that a parent would use to scrutinize their miscreant child. In many cases society must bear the burden of these morons much the same way that it must bear the burden of the mentally retarded.

Take the most direct representative for those values shared by the mentally challenged collective (Conservatives), Rush Limaugh. The most atrocious of his recent distortions is proof that "conservatives" should be given handicap stickers and "I love me" jackets for whenever they venture forth from their padded cells.

Rush recently posted the following article:

Moron Limbaugh attempts to sway the reader to the right by stating that information from the IRS disproves the old line: "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer." Nothing could be further from the truth. In addition to championing the cause of the top %50 this moron derisively refers to bottom %50's contributions toward income tax as "a paltry 3.97% of all income taxes." I wonder how many people reading this would regard their contribution to income taxes as "paltry".

What this particular Moron wants all of his fellow witless chronies to believe is that taxation in this country is skewed and unfairly shoulders the burden of taxes upon the upper half. In typical moronic fashion, Rush is obscuring the complete picture.

According to the latest information available from Survey of Consumer Finances, Conducted by the Federal Reseve Board, the rich indeed HAVE gotten richer. They have been getting richer since the 1980's. From 1983 to 1998 the bottom 40% of earners lost 76% of their wealth, while the top 1% of earners have increased their wealth by more than 42%. The top 1% have 200 times the wealth that the average american has. Take a look for yourself:

Now, I am not advocating the utter dismissal of the ramblings from morons like Rush. After all, they are frequently good for a chuckle or two, Don't you think?
