Subject: Thot' some more about the hypnosis stuff throughout the day. I know several people that have quit smoking through hypnosis where nothing else worked. Done also by guided meditation/visualization while in a deep relaxive state. I think that there is something deep inside our psyche that prevents us from doing something bad or something we truly don't want to do while we're in this state. If one of these tapes, for example were to suggest I go out and murder somebody, I know I wouldn't do it because that part of me that knows right from wrong would stop me first. Now the question I haven't found an answer to is everyones "part" in their psyche on the same level. Would some people actually be more suseptable to doing wrong to others? Does that have to do with totally trusting yourself then? I'll do some more research...

I think control over ones self is mostly a good thing. BUt as with anything, people do go over board. Some people are obsesssive compulsive and though they have control, they are stuck in that. Others have to control everyone to a point of exhaustion. Or if they arent in control they make life miserable for everyone. That to me is very sick...even their children are totally controled. I guess it all comes down to fear.Everyone has some issue, maybe it is even past life related, i.e. that in the last life you had no control, being a woman in the Victorian times say, so now you are making up for that. I personally (and I think with age it happens) would like more control over my emotions. My EX was/is very controling but in a passive way if that makes sense, he bought the clothes he thought I should wear, bought me make-up kits, he would have these little talks with me about my behavior/emotions. After 8 years I FINALLY woke up and got the hell out of there. My current DH thinks he can use guilt to control me, like his mother does to him, I dont fall for that crap, but he does wear on me so I usually give in but I let him know that your guilt is not the reason, I am sick of arguing with you. HIS EX is a control FREAK. If it is NOT her way than it is NO WAY. She doesnt control me and therefore hates me...my DH she has by the balls.I think a great amount of control is fear related simply. Some is good for every person. There are choices to make and life to live, too much control is no fun. Sexually say, some people cant let go enough to enjoy that! Like Bree in the books. Some kids I used to teach, couldnt let go enough to go to the bathroom, it was their way of controling their world. That is what Anorexia is about too. Bad things can happen with extremes!

GLAD to hear Lori that the tapes are working!!
