Subject: Happy Thanksgiving Weekend to all the Canadians here!

Hi everyone! In Canada this is a really special weekend, starting with a spectacular full moon tomorrow night. This is the weekend of giving Thanks for the fall harvest. Many people drive through the countryside to revel in the beauty of the fall colours; trees painted in vivid reds, oranges, yellows, against a bright blue sky...
Many gather with family or loved ones to share Thanksgiving dinner, ... turkey being the main attraction.
(I wonder why Thanksgiving is so much later in the season in the U.S.? I'm sure if I googled it I'd find a few answers...)
In my life my daughter Tiina has just had her appendix out this week, very unexpectedly of course, and I am holding a very very dear friend in prayer and healing Love and Light, he went from seeming totally healthy less than two weeks ago to not being able to breathe at all, he has an agressive form of germ cell cancer which has spread into his lymph nodes and other areas. He is a very loving and warm person, they have two little boys who so very much need their daddy. It was only a few weeks ago that I sat up late with them at their cottage talking and watching the bats swoop over the lake..so hard to believe. So real.

Anyway I am thinking of you all with love.
I'd so appreciate prayers of love and healing for Peter and his family, and for my Tiina.
Sending out prayers to each of you and your loved ones..
and hugs to you all.

[> This week's Full Moon is known in the northern half of the world as the Harvest Moon. Its name is derived from the fact that it rises above the horizon faster than usual ... providing farmers with a period of bright moonlight at the end of the day. This year, the Harvest Moon falls in the passionate and bold sign of Aries -- inspiring us to take action and follow our desires. Aries -- almost like a child -- has a tendency to be self-focused and can miss perceiving the needs of others. Impulsive and spontaneous, Aries' "go for it" attitude comes in handy when pursuing a prized goal ... but in close relationships, there's a risk of accidentally bruising a loved one's feelings. As this particular big moon fills out the night sky, it's a good time to contemplate your close connections. How successful are you in relationships? Do you sometimes overlook your partner's needs in order to follow your own desires .. or act on your own behalf without giving equal consideration to the relationship? -- from Tarot.com, 00:13:22 10/06/06 Fri

[> A Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to all my Canadian Loved Ones. And, Vii, I will hold Tiina close in prayer, and Peter I will carry tenderly in my heart. (((((Peter))))) and (((((((Family)))))). May his journey be a blessing, wherever it leads. May he and his family find the Peace that is Love from our Creator. Do you think he would accept Reiki if I sent him some? And Tiina? May I send her Reiki as well???? -- Betsy, 19:08:27 10/06/06 Fri

[> [> Thank you SO much Betsy! I know both would be very grateful for reiki. Tiina is doing well, but the laperoscopic surgery really bruised up her insides, she's still in pain. I've been working on her too. .....as for Peter, I've been visiting him to do IET (integrated energy therapy) on him, and he's told me that he really feels and appreciates it. He is very open to distance work and is blown away by all the unconditional love coming his way, he knows that love energy heals, and that worry is not helpful...(he's in ICU, they're trying to get him breathing as something is pressing on the nerve to his diaphragm, he's in intensive chemo as it's 'germ cell' cancer which responds well, usually to chemo)..he has been feeling panicked, having to use his neck and shoulder muscles to get his diaphragm to move has been so straining and painful to watch.. anyway, he is a strong, loving and positive person. I know that wherever his path leads, he will feel the Love that is the essence of All. -- v, 23:13:47 10/06/06 Fri

[> [> [> It's been a very hectic and busy day here, Vii, but I will find time tonight to be quiet and gather energies to send. Hmmmmm.....I wonder if we could coordinate our efforts? While you work on Peter there, I can be here sending Reiki????? And how is your DD? It does take a bit to heal, but she will be fine very quickly. -- Betsy, 18:23:39 10/08/06 Sun

[> [> [> [> Hi Betsy, I'll check in here, leave me a time that works for you, and I'll work from here at the same time. Tiina is healing well, though she's been nauseous for the past three days, and headachy. Might be that she's 'coming down' off the cocktails they gave her for pain ;) She says thanks, by the way! I was just up north closing up Peter's family's cottage as it's something I could do to help. What a glorious fall weekend we're having, clear skies, crisp weather, great colours! The moon has been spectacular! I thought about it shining down on all of us wherever we are, last night. It really is a small world after all! Our energies wrap around it in a nanu second! -- Viive, 19:21:17 10/08/06 Sun

[> [> [> [> Hi again ((((((Betsy))))))....I'm going to do some distance work on Peter now at 11:05pm, and I'll leave a note when I go to see him again to work on him in person. I hope you get some rest tonight too, hectic days need sleep-filled nights! ;) -- Viive, 23:00:24 10/08/06 Sun

[> [> [> [> [> Viiva, I will be working on Peter tonight about 10:00 PM. I'll send to Peter for about 30 minutes, then I'll send to Tiina. The past couple of days has been taken up with family stuff. Carlah surprised us Sat. night and came home from Virginia for a couple of days. We took her to the airport last evening. She's returning to Va. then leaving for Japan for TWO YEARS!!!! Needless to say, I have been a puddle of tears. I'm torn by such mixed emotions. Proud of her for taking charge of her life, scared to death that she will be safe, heart broken that she is going to be gone so long, let alone the feelings of dicotomy of having a daughter in the military when I have always been such a Peace Activist. But we did raise her to think for herself.....and she has. ANYWAY, tonight at 10:00. -- Betsy, 13:56:53 10/10/06 Tue

[> [> [> [> [> [> oh (((((Betsy)))))) thinking of you. This motherhood thing sure didn't come with any 'How To' manuals or warning signs about our hearts. Japan...wow. I hope she gets to come home for a visit during those two years.. What a year 2006 has been for you, but how wonderful indeed to know that your child is taking her own steps, thinking for herself....and speaking of children leads me to your other ones.....when is the first grandbaby due? -- Viive, 17:04:12 10/10/06 Tue

[> Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends. Today is Columbus day here but with the kids in school, it just felt like a normal day. Well my Savannah turned 12 today the 9th,so for us it was a festive day 'g'. Viive, all my good vibes to Tiina, tell her that we all send her a big hug. For your friend, it is so sad, so definitely a lot of positive vibes towards him and his family. We tend to take life for granted when we are suddenly reminded so tragically how fragile it is. -- Isabelle, 19:53:22 10/09/06 Mon

[> [> [> Hi Betsy, thank you. I'm doing good but sloowly. The scars still hurt when I move around. Driving is painful but with a pillow between my chest and the belt, it works. Not fun whenI have to twist in my seat to go backwards. It will be 4 weeks on wed. and for the past couple of days, the pain got really bad and the swelling too. Well, true I might do a little too much at times, but I also realized that I was getting to my first period since surgery, and boy did it hurt in my breast! The pain is less as I'm starting now. All in all, this is the best thing I ever did (besides my kids 'g') -- Isabelle, 07:59:34 10/10/06 Tue

[> I'm so sorry that I am coming to the party late!!!! Viive, healing prayers to both Tiina and Peter. By this time, Tiina is probably well on the road to recovery. This must have brought back memories of Rob's experience. I pray that Peter will find some healing. Will they offer him treatment? Prayers that his pain is not great. Isabelle-more healing vibes headed your way!!!!! Take it easy and take care of yourself!!!! (((Betsy)))), I'm sure your heart is heavy saying goodbye to Carlah. She will be safe. Strength to you and Dave during this time. -- Keira, 21:46:41 10/12/06 Thu

[> [> hi ((((Keira))))...thanks everyone for the prayers and healing energy. Tiina's recovering well, though her workload at school and all she has missed is bogging her down a bit...this will pass. Peter had a trachiotomy last night to ease his breathing as he's still labouring with it. He is a strong person in many ways; I know he is very grateful for all the prayers. They gave him five days of chemo, believing that this type of cancer responds to radical chemo...he just needs to get his breathing happening so that he can start to heal. His little boys are missing daddy so much; hopefully they'll be able to see him in a few days. This is a man with a huge capacity for love, and he understands how our bodies follow our positive thoughts and words...which is so wonderful to see. -- love, Viive, 00:31:32 10/13/06 Fri

[> I ended up working every night last week. I didn't ahve the extended time I had hoped to have to send Reiki, but I did send bits and pieces every day. How are Tiina and Peter doing??? I am still sending energy and will continue to for as long as you think it is needed. My sense is that you DD is doing ok, school work will get caught up. Peter still has a long road ahead. I don't feel a relief in his breathing, but that can just be my scattered energy. Do you know if they have given him some lorazepam? Just a small amount might be helpful if he is still finding breathing a struggle. It will relax him and allow his diaphram to work a bit easier. At least that is what we do here.... -- Betsy, 16:17:45 10/16/06 Mon
