Subject: It is a big deal to school kids here. They love to give cards to their classmates (in my class we have an "all or none" rule, meaning the kids either have to give everyone in the class a card, or no cards to anyone at all, it is their choice) They get so excited to pass out their cards to their friends and then have just as much fun opening them all. I usually get a small gift for my kids (a hemp choker or a pair of earrings or something) and then something else for the DH. I don't believe in it being a big commercial thing (although I'm keeping the dozen red roses I got from the DH *g*). IMO, I enjoy it because it is a fun day in an otherwise dreary winter month.

[> My Nicole had a fun time passing out cards and sweets to friends at school and even came home with a cute little teddy bear a boy gave her! At her school they do have a rule though if you bring in for 1 you must bring for all kids. Christine I think you observe awhile and see if it gets worse but I would tell Joey to rise above it and ignore the girl attention is probably just what she wants. -- Reenie, 09:18:04 02/15/05 Tue
