Subject: Definitely, take it to the teacher and the school. Conflict Resolution is an integral part of the schools now, and I'm sure the school's counselor would be able to talk with the kids involved and help them to get through to the other side on this one. Good luck! And big hugs to you, Mom... it's so hard to watch our kids have to go through things like this.
In reply to: Christine--not very Valentine-y today 's message, "Hello everyone! I thought this might be a place to ask a question about Joey (age 8 1/2) and a little girl in his class. Somehow they became enemies--I didn't even know this little girl's name until he and his best friend were fighting because Js friend thought J should be nicer to this girl. Today was Valentine's Party day and J came home saying they had a big party but he didn't get a card from 'girl' and I said I thought they had to give cards to everyone. He then said that she had one for him but ripped it up in front of him. Now...I know telling him to like everyone isn't something that is going to happen but I think this was just a bit mean--and I think J was hurt by it. Should I talk to his teacher? I'm not sure if she's aware of this "feud". UGH" on 22:42:16 02/14/05 Mon
