Subject: More questions! :)

I was going to put this in a reply to Martina's post but I decided I'd post it seperately since it delves into my own wonderings.

I was reading the book, The Journey of the Soul and there was one man there that he hypnotized back into the spirit world to find out why he had decided to live with the circumstances that he did in this lifetime. In his present lifetime his birth mother had abandoned him on the steps of a church and he ended up growing up in a home where his parents were very sarcastic and critical. In a hypnotized regression he had learned that as a young man with a lot of power in another country he had ordered his mother killed as punishment because she was giving out food to the peasants and she was not supposed to. So his present lifetime that dealt with this rejection from his mother was meant as a karma thing - so he could learn from what it was like to be on the receiving end of the rejection to balance out what he did to his mother.

BUT! Why then do we make ourselves 'forget' who we really are when we face each lifetime? How can we learn from past mistakes if we don't remember them? I am really stuck on that.

And then that had me thinking about the circumstances of my own birth, I was adopted as a baby from a Catholic home for unwed mothers. I always felt this sense of rejection from that, although logically I know that I was likely there because she just couldn't care for me - too young, ill - whatever. But still, the sense of not being wanted lingers from time to time.

But could it be that in a past lifetime I had rejected a child and this was my way of clearing up some Karma from that? I don't like to think that's true but the possibility may be there.

Actaully, I found the book to be very informative and credible but I'll admit some revelatoins in there *really* upset me. I'll share a few more of them in seperate posts if anyone would like to discuss them.

Any insights ladies and gents? :)

This is one reason I made up my own belief system because there is always something I question in every belief system etc. I take what makes sense to me from everything & kind of mush it all together & then it sometimes doesn't make sense either hahahahahahaha. There are so many ways of looking at this stuff. Sometimes some of it makes sense & sometimes none of it makes sense & I don't think we'll ever figure it out in this physical plane or at least we won't understand it if we do figure it out. Maybe our souls know what's going on but our conscience minds don't. Maybe our souls "know" and "learn" specific lessons but our physical beings are just supposed to hang out & experience situations. It all gets so darned weird after a while I can't even deal with it at a certain point hahahahaha. I believe we have to forget all that in order to start unaffected all over. If we would know what we want to learn, we would hurry up to do that, and then… what? Leaving earth again? We would miss on a lot of experiences along the path. And how would you do that anyway? Going to your former mother (for example), telling her: “Hey, in our past life you were my father and beat me up. I just wanna tell you I forgive you now.” And then it´s all done?

No, I´d rather think if we do that without our knowledge, it´s more heartfelt and genuine. New situations arise, and we don´t know what we “have” to do, we just act unaffected and free of the karma-burden.

I don´t think we have to learn from former mistakes. What we do is developing, becoming more whole, getting in tune with the source. You could consider this learning though. But it´s not the biblic “ an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth” thing what karma is about. I think it´s more complicated than that, and at the same time more simple. It is often all in ourselves, and has nothing to do with other people.

If you still feel abandoned, it doesn´t HAVE to have anything to do with your mother or a past life! She could have been just a “tool”, a mirror for you, and there is not even karma between the both of you. The feeling of being rejected could be your personal subject for more than 2 lives already. There are methods to find that out and get rid of that.

It is always on US to find blockades, old hurts, and deal with them. Doing something good or bad in return to the involved other person doesn´t make things even. You would still be hurt. It is on you to HEAL that old hurt.

That´s a complicated subject, maybe we should email each other about that?*g* I have learned a lot about those things (dealing with old wounds) with doing kineosology.

It is well known that humans have Free Will to create as they see fit. Karma is the balance for that, so that we have some kind of shape to the game of choice. Consequences are different from rewards and punishments, though. A consequence is simply a result, yet the others involve a judgement.
