Subject: I'm getting tired of this sudden obsession with "per capita"; it's become the Far Right's favourite dog whistle. We should be focusing on the real harm caused by sensationalising one community, not slicing statistics until they suit a narrative. Social justice isn't a maths equation; it's a moral stance.

  • Here's a stat for you...the vast majority of individuals per capita who inflict sexual abuse on minors are men! Not women seeking equality with men. It's men! There's something really wrong with some men, and society has failed to erridicate the problem.   • Rape Gangs have not been systemically covered up for decades on the basis of the culprits being men, they have been systemically covered up for decades on the basis of the culprits being Pakistani, for political reasons. JS, Welby's colleague and Lord Mountbatten were not systemically covered up for decades on the basis of being men either, but because of their status in conjunction with political reasons.   • Not sure why that would be a surprising stat. Simply something that reinforces people like JK Rowlings view that people born biological males should not be able to access womens spaces. That, for some reason, until recently, was an outrageous, bigoted statement, despite the obvious need to safeguard women.
