Subject: Longest-Serving Managers

Quietly, this week Marco passed Chris Coleman to be our longest-serving manager since Alec Stock. If he's still with us by the New Year, he will have passed Stock who was in charge between June 21, 1972 and December 16, 1976. This would leave only the following with longer tenures in our entire history:

* Bedford Jezzard, June 1, 1958 to December 31, 1964
* Jack Peart, May 1, 1935 to September 1, 1948 (though with the war in there)
* Phil Kelso, August 1, 1909 to May 1, 1924
* Harry Bradshaw, April 1, 1904 to April 1, 1909.

I find it a bit crazy that in 121 years we've only had five managers (six in three days), who have been in charge for just four years or more, and only one post-war who has held the position for five years or more.
