Subject: 'Munichs' by David Peace..

I have been reading this book which I originally bought for my United supporting Father in Law. He sadly passed away before finishing the book. I had previously read 'GB84' and 'The Damned United', which I both really enjoyed for the way he splits the narrative in time. 'Munichs'is slightly different, but it still has that pace and great characterisation.
Anyway, I'm moving towards the end of the book and have just read the chapter on the 1958 Cup Semi Final games v Fulham. Sounds like Fulham were unlucky in the first game, and should have won. Did anyone on here go to either game? Peace writes that few Fulham fans attended the game at Villa Park, and there were only 38000 at the Highbury replay.
I am no Manchester United fan, but this book has helped me to understand what a terrible tragedy it was, and what a strain it had on the people who survived, who lost husbands and sons, who had attend all the funerals and keep the club going.
