• I find it astonishing that the referee came to the conclusion that contact was definitely made with the hand. The ball clearly came mostly off the defender’s head and may have touched his hand as well, but from the footage I’ve seen that is not at all clear. And he made his mind really quickly, in contrast to the much clearer decision in the West Ham game at the weekend. Over the last couple of weeks Celtic have had VAR assistance on as clear a red card tackle you will see from a Celtic player and also another penalty decision which should have been given against them.   • They are the "cash cows" as you say, but Hearts attendances have increased and if they had a bigger capacity they would fill it if they keep a top 3 profile. Would be good for Scottish football. More broadcasting viewers brings in more advertising and subscription revenue. Celtic and Rangers have become fat and complacecent with their previous guarenteed European places. Tony Bloom has shown them up. His stats driven recruitment system has the Old Firm shitting themselves.
