The FST is nothing like a TU, it has no power to negotiate anything, especially if it's about finance. Ali Mac and co just play lip service to the FST. They loved the Covid period as face to face meetings were suspended, never to return, which probably was a good result for FFC. I guess the FST was born at a time when the club was in a much weaker, lowlier position. Supporters then had a greater say in rescuing and guiding the club. Now that the club is in the PL, with billionaire owners, and millionaires players, the views and opinions of supporters has much less weight. - Me too. But as we both know, and I was clarifying, FST originates from the time of our return to CC. Its immediate predecessor was Back to The Cottage, which, having achieved its specific aim, formalised into more general purpose Supporters Trust. This made, and still makes, our Trust part of a network, with collective representation (via Football Supporters Association) with the FA and government.     - When I did a couple of BTTC mailings there were just over 1,000 paid-ups. Many more sympathisers and non-sympathisers, of course, just as memberships of all political parties are a fraction of their support-bases. Am aware that FST grew beyond BTTC, but still imagine that *not just at Fulham* paid-ups approximate a decent away attendance with maybe a similar number having never quite got round to it and the rest finding eloquent reasons to prefer not, or that it isn't worth it. - As most on here will be amply aware, mid-80s-90s raised awareness of asset-stripping and flats on CC. That resumed following Fayed's Fulham River Projects deal. By time of return to CC, the Supporters Trust format was established, so made sense to migrate BTTC into an early participant. The Trust network has since become nationwide, with the FA and parliament supportive in words and even some deeds. To relinquish our participation would be dim.
