So when they have their important meetings this week , what might Silva be politely demanding from the Khans, other than perhaps transfer business not to be left until late in the windows . After all ,according to the many he’s been backed ‘fully’, so what exactly will he be looking for ? He’s made a point in stressing the importance of these talks , so what on earth is he really hoping to get from the Khans ? I think we all know ……..

Same as ever. He's just jockying for more like everyone else would do. He knows he needs Europe experience to land a top job. And he knows the buyout clause in his last contract probably cost him a chance to jump on a vacant spot. So, probably in order of priority: (1) lower (or no) buyout clause; (2) enough money to make something like Benfica seem stupid; (3) some guaranteed levels of expenditure; (4) a bit more control to choose to buy players he really wants without the lengthy haggle.
