Subject: I don’t disagree, for several seasons I’ve said we are buying the wrong players and backing ourselves into a FFP corner with high wage, ageing players with diminishing value, anderson, cast, traore etc they’ll do a job, probs keep us safe but they soak up FFP room and don’t offer a way out to sell and reinvest. My gripe is people saying we don’t spend enough; don’t support the manager, we spend to the limit what we can and give him signings he wants, we give him too much if anything.

  • This is why i see nothing other than relegation if he goes. We will have half our feeble goal tally gone, with no one looking like they can/will step up with no real funds to splash out in key areas (NT) -- Waterboy, Monday, May 25, 11:56:08am (NoHost/80.176.108.97)
  • It seems like we were ready to buy Peppi and sign Chukwezi permanently - £60M. Releasing Raul and not offering Wilson what he wants reduces our wage bill. What's needed is young talent we can develop - not yet too expensive and resale value to come. It's not too late to change the recruitment policies. It would be nice to think that's the discussion that's due to take place next week. Sadly I doubt it.
