Subject: Our overall performance when linked to squad value.

According to Transfermkt, our Squad value at €385.96m is currently 33rd in the World but clubs finishing below us in the table included Newcastle (€708.25m); Everton (€450.45m); Crystal Palace (€541.30m); Nottingham Forest (€568.00m); Tottenham (€802.50m). Chelsea (€1.16bn) finished on the same points as us whilst Brentford (€470.40m) and Brighton (€494.00m) finished with just a single point more. We cannot complain about Bournemouth (€507.10m) who finished with five points more than us as they beat us home and away but, that said, it will be very hard for us to completely forgive Joachim.

Sunderland was the only team with a squad value less than us at (€381.95m) that finished higher in the League but we did the double over them. Whilst we can look back at individual incidents that prevented us from finishing a few places higher, it just proves that football is a funny old game but that’s why we love it!

No matter what us fans think, in a time when wealth seems to be everything, this may explain why so many clubs are interested in Marco.
