I would respectfully argue that recruitment is critical and requires the full focus of a DOF to deliver value for money in a timely fashion, which we've seen precious little of under TK's supervision. Is it a mere coincidence that frustration with transfers and general interference have been concerns for 2 of our most successful managers in recent times, namely Slavisa & Silva with the usual suspect behind these issues? - And let's not forget the £120 million he spent on rubbish that plunged the club into financial problems for a few seasons because he didn't know what he was doing. If depends on what you call a DoF. Recall listening to an interview with a Bundesliga DoF and his job went far beyond TK's roll.
