  • Getting the right manager is often a matter of luck. In living memory 3 of our most successful/ memorable managers have been rookies. Namely Micky Adams, M Macdonald and Bedford Jezzard. Right person, right time, right place. (NT) -- Hammersmithender, Tuesday, June 02, 09:57:58am (NoHost/31.94.12.54)
  • Those three all slipped into the managers job at a club where they were at home. They succeeded for us but didn't go on to long successful management careers. Jezzard felt let down and preferred to run a pub. MacDonald had a second go at Huddersfield where he failed badly and is not remembered fondly. Mickey Adams became a lower League promotion specialist. On CV alone Marco did not seem a smart choice for us. • Three apt recollections, but Khans wil have more recent ones of Symons and Parker. Best hope is they follow lead of whichever advisor -- hopefully still around -- who recommended Slavisa and Marco to them.
