In reply to: Jeremy 's message, "Can you dance, Saras?" on 19:00:10 04/01/02 Mon

Saras’ face broke into a smile of joy when Jeremy mentioned dancing. If it was one thing the genie was good at, it was dancing. Even without his magic, or a proper anatomically correct human body, Saras knew that he could dance, and it was the one time he was positive of how beautiful and perfect he was. He could completely lose himself in the movements and the music. His body was perfect for that of a dancer, bordering between male and female. Angular and lean and somehow soft, despite lacking the more obvious feminine endowments.

“Long long ago, before we were given to you humans to grant wishes, Genies were the servants of the gods. We used to dance for their pleasure.” he replied proudly, answering Jeremy's question. Saras pulled his hair loose from a braid and run his fingers through it, to separate the strands. All thoughts of Rowan tossing him into the pond vanished as he stood up, pulling off layer after layer of coloured fabric, letting them drop into a pile where he had been sitting. Finally, only a long, fitted tunic remained. It left Saras’ as gender-ambiguous as he’d been before, but revealed much more skin then was usual for the genie. The display of skin and cut of the tunic might have left him looking like a young girl in a slave-tunic were it not made from such rich fabric and decorated with gold and red beads and tiny gems. It was suggestive enough to be alluring, but still tasteful. At least, the genie thought so. He kicked off his sandals off and stepped back away from the fire, listening to the music, his face thoughtful for a moment.

Saras waited a moment, getting the feel of Val’s music before letting his hands snake through the air in a hypnotic fashion. He let his big brown eyes close and felt the music, instead of listening to it. It was not the perfect type of music for his dancing, but it was close enough, and the genie could improvise easily enough. He was that good at what he was doing... Gold bracelets slid down his arms while he let them dance on their own, and let his body move on it’s own accord. When he spun, his hair fanned out behind him. The beads and gems woven into the braids and fabric of his clothes sparkled in the light from the fire, as did gold from his bracelets. After a moment of moving to the sound of the music, he stopped the spellbinding movements, and smile brightly at Jeremy. “Did you learn to dance like that?” he asked, “Come dance with me!” he said holding out his hands in an invitation. “I can teach you, if you don’t know how…” he added happily.

Saras let his hips sway for a moment in what would no doubt be horribly erotic were he a real woman. His mind seemed detatched from his body which begged to move some more. "It's easy.." he added. "...really."
